Technical petroleum jellies - The fat component in industry

Under the trade names COX and VARA, MERKUR produces technical petroleum jellies for our customers. Technical petroleum jellies are chemically stable mixtures of solid and liquid hydrocarbons. Depending on refining severity, the products have a pale yellow, yellow or brownish colour. Technical petroleum jellies are very versatile and can be used for many applications. For example, they are used in the creams and polishes industry - especially leather care - and also in the printing ink industry, the rubber industry, for corrosion control, and in the manufacture of batteries. The products are water-resistant, soft and smooth, and possess high light stability.
