EnHance
EnHance
is a highly crystalline Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon designed to
improve the processability of
polyolefins during compounding. Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbons are
highly compatible with polyolefins and at the recommended loadings
are dissolved in the polymer matrix.
EnHance acts as a viscosity modifier during the compounding of polyolefins
with various mineral fillers,
improving flow properties and facilitating better dispersion. The
addition of EnHance also allows for the use of lower temperature
profiles and hence reduces degradation during the compounding process.
These factors ultimately result in the opportunity to increase output
and the production of a superior quality product. In addition, downstream
users of compounds containing EnHance will also benefit due to improved
flow properties and the opportunity to reduce cycle time by using
lower processing temperatures and cutting cooling time.
EnHance also reduces the amount of power (drop in machine amperes)
required during the compounding
process. This is a direct result of the improved flow and reduced
frictional properties of compounds containing EnHance.
EnHance is available in pastilles form. EnHance FG is suitable for
use in food contact applications.
